As a little girl, I have experienced and observed how women in society, enter marriage without having a sword in their hands to fight against issues that confront them in marriage.

I wondered if it could be ignorance or the fact that their love was blind.
Now as a mature lady, I have come to the realisation that there were few authors who gave little or no concentration towards writing on marriage topics that will educate the girls and women in the society in preparing them for the marriage journey and in the marriage journey.
This definitely leaves them regretting or wishing ‘had I known, in marriage.
However, I am proud of the generation I belong to because we have used our parent’s experiences and regrets as lessons and have become wise in tackling these types of matters that are not most times dealt with.
In our generation, authors from our parent’s generation have used their experiences and regrets to form a story gathered in form of a book to impact handling marriages better in our generation.
Today’s generation is not relying on the “love is blind” tool to fool themselves into entering marriages. But rather, they have started to seek and sought for knowledge in form of books, e-books, tapes, podcasts to upgrade their wisdom and understanding of what marriage is about and ways to handle their marriage.
Despite the fact a lot of us are not ready to make avoidable mistakes, there are others that are still very much ignorant to the reality that they need to be knowledgeable, mentally, and emotionally fit for their marriage.
The sad part of it all is that they fail to accept it before taking the actions geared towards a great marriage.
I can only enlighten you with this write-up that if it is your will to enjoy marriage without regret or suffering, then you need to educate yourselves.
Educating yourself brings light to the path that you should tread upon and the alignment with the right partner in your glorious destiny of marriage.
It is true that marriage is not a child’s play and that is why you need a sense of maturity towards handling your marriage.
Pastor (Mrs) Faith Oyedepo will always say it is compulsory for you to have the knowledge of what marriage is about before entering it.
No marriage is perfect, but it can be perfect in your way of handling them, it can be very easy in your way of managing them, it can be very smooth in your way of conducting yourself in the marriage.

They always say our future is now, which means our desired kind of successful marriage is now and we must be ready to covet it now by indulging ourselves in reading and acquiring knowledge to handle the issues that will come along with the marriages we desire.

Welcome back to another series of the greatest fruit of the spirit called love. Today’s write up will be made up of two parts…
You know I have been doing a lot lately from online class to my project and to so many assignments and I realized I have not being consistent with uploading a lot of the 1st Corinthians 13 series and I have fresh exciting topics to give you all, so I have to round this up really fast.
I have currently not being myself lately because of the hatred I have seen with the recent killings on this world. Sometimes I wonder if it is because of the covid 19 pandemic or hatred for other men. I have never really paid attention to things like this from the killing of Floyd to the rape of Uwa and Tina, I thought over and over again that what has the world turned into?
Let me tell you that for two weeks of thinking of these things, kneeling to God in prayer and he brought me back to my blog, telling me what was the purpose of blog and I realized it is to address these things and it still goes back to love.
Love has not being shared across to all even as believers. We should continuously press on to show forth in action what it means to love your neighbor as yourself. Now I will try to compress a few things that is going on in the world that are not the fruits of the spirit rather is anything called LOVE.
LOVE IS NOT JEALOUS
Being jealous is being not happy for other people, feeling resentful of someone for a perceived advantage, material or other wise. On a norm, we all know jealousy kills not to talk of having an idea of a love that’s jealous
Love is never jealous, in 1st Corinthians 13:4 it is a pure unconditional feeling. Therefore, if love is exactly what I described it as then it doesn’t invite jealousy and jealousy could be seen as a conditioned feeling and such feeling doesn’t follow the term of love. It destroys Job5:2
LOVE IS NOT BOASTFUL OR PROUD
Love has not nothing to do with the proud or those who show off and God hate the proud and will judge the proud. Isaiah 2:12This simply means love hate the proud because God is love ☺️… Isn’t that amazing? Pride goes before a fall and to be boastful is not from God either is these two evil fruits. They can never be invited where love is rather wit is with the humble and humble people enjoy unlimited grace because it is.
LOVE DOES NOT DISHONOR OTHERS
Dishonor is having no honour for one and it can be said as having no respect for one. When you dishonour others, you are simply saying you have no value for one. This is why if you don’t honour others, you can not be honoured by anybody.
If you love someone or you claim to love someone you are telling them I respect you, I value you and I will honour and most times when you honour such people, you try not to make mistakes that will interpret anything called dishonour to them. You can honour people by respect who they are, respecting what they respect and cherish. There are benefits of honoring someone example such as an extension of honouring such people gets to you, that is you will be honoured. Love is not associated with those who dishonour other people. Psalm 70:2, 1st Corinthians 13:5
LOVE IS NOT SELFISH
Love is not self seeking means being selfish, I know as human beings we tend to help only ourselves but as believers who keep experiencing God’s love, it therefore a sin to be selfish we should extend this love to others to experience, by helping people telling them how much you love them, how much God loves them. Especially in this isolation period call people and tell them they are not alone, God is with them and so on. These things go along way , I just got a news of an actor who had passed on this Sunday by killing himself. Why will he have to do that if only someone had cared and showed him love, depression is real this is what killed him, he tried to call so many friends but no one picked his call. It would have been a different case if only one person would have answered his call… Been alone for that matter the devil would have given him enough reason to leave this world and not thinking about his friends and family who loved him and like I heard he was a good actor, had great people but none was there to help. These are the things we believers can help in reducing the level or thought of suicide. Giving to others is where God’s blessings dwells in mostly. Romans 2:8, 1st Corinthians 13:4
LOVE IS NOT EASILY ANGERED
Anger is an evil fruit and can be dangerous if care is not taken. Anger is a spirit that comes upon a person causing them to destroy something in a foot of rage. It has destroyed so many marriages, relationships and so on. You can love someone purely but because you are easily angered you cause a lot of damages and break a lot of relationships. Psalm 37:8, proverbs 29:22 If you are in such category I will advice you to deal with by having self control and also because it doesn’t speak well of you. Even if you have no intention of causing any harm, you end up doing the opposite rather ask God to deliver you because it is a spirit and once it wears off you realize the deeds that has been done is something you will have to gain with great difficulty. Proverbs 15:1, Ecclesiastes 7:9 Love doesn’t reside where anger dwells. The faster you curb it from it’s root the better for you and other relationships you have.😊
LOVE KEEPS NO RECORD OF WRONG AND IT DOES NOT DELIGHT IN EVIL
Forgiveness is key in this life, even God says we should forgive and it is for our sake most times. It keeps us sane and not wanting to punish people by keeping records of their wrong because such things will eventually bounce back to those who refuse to forgive.
God forgives us from all our sins, therefore we have no right to record the wrong of others. We are humans and we tend to err but a believer should never think of keeping records of other people’s wrong but instead, forgive and move on. This way we tend to keep prospering because we did the right things to forgive and let go and like the saying goes LET GO AND LET GOD. We do help ourselves a lot on this one by delighting in the good of others too alot of blessings comes from this because you prosper on every side even till it is your time to shine. Delighting in evil never takes us anywhere it is better do good and be pleased with God and with ourselves. Love will never allow one to keep wrong records of the one he respects either will it allow it to delight in evil. 1st Corinthians 13:5 If such thing happens it clearly shows there is no love.

Your girl is back to give you another topic about which is its kindness in any relationship, I should have done before the Covid 19 pandemic started, but i was so busy with my final year in the university. So people i promise to keep you updated as we begin to unravel God’s way of love.
So in the previous post we talked about patience and now we will be talking on love is kind, still in 1st Corinthians 13 verse 4….
Kindness is another word for affection and gentle, forgiving, mind showing benevolence, it is also a favorable act towards another and another way of loving someone. A kind heart gives someone a measure of hope that there are people who are ready to show affection regardless of the situation the individual is going through. It saves souls who are going through a rough phase in this wicked world we live in. This is the reason why love is needed in this world.
Love is kind and it goes a long way to save distraught, depressed, who is ready to commit suicide. This has helped a number of people from death or that have prepared themselves to commit suicide and this at the same does not get anything in return. this is why is a fruit of unconditional love, it has no condition of saving people who go through hard times in this life.
I have really seen when people take advantage of showing an act of kindness for something in return. As a christian it should not be so because anything like selfish is not of God but the flesh and is not anything like love at all. Showing kindness to someone gives such person a hope that all will be well, that life is not as terrible as he or she thought it was. It opens doors for a second chance to live in this world for such person.
We Christians should show love and tell others how important is it to love by showing another fruit of love which is kindness to people out there who is in need of it. A lot of people don’t express it, don’t complain in fact they look like all is well, they are thriving to be strong to handles their challenges. We are the ones who will show what is to love them by showing a kind act to these people.
Love is kind, Love is powerful, therefore a kind heart can do a lot in people’s life if you do more unconditionally. A kind heart is ready to forgive and not to be judgmental, it is gentle, these fruits are act of kindness and a form of loving people around you unconditionally.
I hope you start showing a kind act to many people around you. till our next post… stay safe guys use this time to build yourself spiritually and read psalm 91 and keep your faith up during this period and also take alkaline fruits.

I was thinking really that i have not dropped a write up and i remembered that we were talking on love and i gave an introduction of what love really should be. We are therefore going to examine them one after the other as stated in the bible in 1st corinthians 13. In that same scripture in verse 4 says love is patient and kind… yes it is true. But we will be talking about the first one which is love is patient.
The act of patience is simply called waiting or the content to wait according to the dictionary. it means active waiting and enduring. it also means staying with something and doing all that we can that is working, hoping, and exercising faith bearing hardships with fortitude even when the desires of your hearts are delayed. patience is simply not just enduring but enduring well.
It is WAITING which means a sign of true love and patience and anyone can say i love you but not everyone can wait and prove it is true.
Friends saying i love you to anyone is different as proving the act to anyone, in fact proving it without saying is better but the best is proving it and saying it at the same time. God waited for many of us as unbelievers then to become believers yet showing his love to us and grace to us at the same time while waiting to be called his own, he also didn’t force us to be his own rather the love (by being patient) he hath shown us while being an unbeliever made us draw to him and through forgiveness of sin we became his own. So also waiting comes in different ways in a relationship examples through sacrifice because patience is an act of sacrifice, even proving your love is patience.
But in all of this we have to be patient with our partner to get the desired results or the desires of our hearts. you can’t force your partner to do something he or she is not ready to do rather you exercise patience and in your exercising patience you also make your partner know how patient you are which is needed for any relationship, most especially relationships ready to take a step into marriage.
Patience is everything in every relationship even friendship i mean we all have different backgrounds and it is also necessary to understand people around us even if it is making new friends. So you therefore realize from this that patience is one of the part to building a good and solid foundation in any relationship.
I hope with this i have been able to gave a brief explanation on what it means to be patient. I will be treating the kind act of loving your partner in a relationship.

WHAT IS LOVE?
Love encompasses a range of strong and positive emotional and mental states, from the most sublime virtues or good habit, the deepest interpersonal affection and to the simplest pleasure. An example of this range of meanings is that the love of a mother differs from the love of a spouse, which differs from the love of food. Most commonly, love refers to a feeling of strong attraction and emotional attachment.
Love is also considered to be a virtue representing human kindness, compassion, and affection, as “the unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another” It may also describe compassionate and affectionate actions towards other humans, one’s self or animals. (Wikipedia)
basically,there are different meanings to the word LOVE and am going to explain them to you. but first of all you should know the importance and its need to mankind in these world.
Love is the greatest commandment God gave to us. Have you wondered why it is the greatest commandment because God knows that this world would be destroyed if there is no love and that is why in the days of Noah God destroyed the world because of the wickedness of the world as at that time and what caused this wickedness, it was due to the lack of love of one another in the world. God then created another world using the family of Noah because they emulated and exhibited a pure form of love and then in the new testament God gave the commandment that we must love one another , and through loving one another other fruits of the spirit can produce. this is the reason why Love is the greatest commandment.
You should understand first what God’s love is, this is because it is the purest form of love. In 1st Corinthians 13:13 it clearly states God’s purest form of love and this is what it should be, starting from verse 4 which says love is patient and kind , never jealous, boastful, proud or rude, love isn’t selfish or quick tempered, it doesn’t keep record of wrongs that others do, love rejoices in the truth and not in evil, love is always supportive, loyal and hopeful and trusting and also love never FAILS.
Those form of love is what God expect us to emulate and show to others if you carefully read the listed verse above you will realize it is very different from what the world’s meaning of love is. You will only know this if you are in Christ (by being born again) that is if you have experienced God’s love for yourself, then you will also know you deserve the exact kind of love here on earth through the relationships between families, friends, spouse and other people around you and you also have the responsibility to show that exact type of love to people around you also.
The meaning of love listed above will be explained one by one as we go on learning the real meaning of this word called LOVE.
